My Marni Trolley Dash

Today is International Women's Day.

Obviously, I celebrated this by doing what I do best. Shopping!

But for a good reason this time...remember my post a few weeks back about Marni collaborating with H&M?

Well today was the day! One of my favourite designers producing a collection for a high street store. I simply had to be there.

So, with my very strong coffee and my stylish partner in crime, Sophie, I hopped on the 8.30am train and made my way to Oxford Street.

It was as busy as I expected. Though not as bad as previous years because of the new wristband and appointment system. Everyone who queued up (some from as early as 9pm last night!) was given a wristband which allowed them a twenty minute trolley dash around the Marni collection.

TWENTY MINUTES.

Still, I didn't let this bother me too much and after the initial whistle blow and a frantic shop assistant telling us to 'GO GO GO' I had calmed myself down and I was ready to shop!

I did quite well in my little spree. I got the blue spotted suit I'd been after since seeing it here and I got a few other bits and pieces, but it wasn't always easy finding things in the right size given the time frame allowed. Hopefully I can share all my new purchases with you soon once I've recovered and convinced the back manager not to reposess my house...

Did anybody else make it to the launch? What did you buy?
