It has only been three days (including a weekend) since I ordered that gorgeous red (I mean berry) dress but I'm already getting impatient. Please don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying the delivery service is bad or slow, I'm just a very impatient person. I always want everything immediately and I desperately want my red (berry!) dress. Of course the arrival of the dress will require a night out....
Truth be told, I don't really need an excuse to wear a fabulous dress, I just want an excuse to dress it up a bit and have a night out. So, while I've been planning this night out in my new dress, I've also been thinking about the accessories. One can't wear a beautiful dress alone (not in winter anyway!).
The shoes are the first item on my list. Do I wear black heels or beige heels? Then I have to decide on the stockings/tights. I have a pair of natural coloured stockings that have a black seam up the back and I've been looking for an excuse to wear them. Actually, I wrote about them in a blog just before Christmas. Here they are again:
I think the dress, these stockings and black heels are a definite option (you can buy these stockings from Ann Summers and they are totally affordable!).
But, red/berry coloured dress aside, the next item on my "Must Have" list is this sheer, chiffon blouse by Dolce & Gabbana:
The veiled look has been popular for some time now, and it is looking like this trend is going to carry on into spring. Roberto Cavalli, Nina Ricci, and Haider Ackermann, amongst others, have all adopted new transparency measures, using featherlight, sheer materials like silk chiffon, mousseline and organza.
For me, being able to carry off this look means working really hard at sticking to my New Year's Resolutions (i.e. cutting down on the choccies and vino so I that can lose my belly!). Anyone else in the same boat?
