Midlife fashion crisis...

As you get older fashions and styles that are considered acceptable for your age group inevitably change.  It's fine for girls in their 20s and early 30s to wear mini skirts and mini dresses but once you hit your late 30s what looks good is quite different.

Let's face it, the majority of us don't have the toned, slim bodies we had when we were younger, so of course wearing little strappy tops, hotpants and the like just aren't going to look so good.  But even if your figure is as good as it was when you were younger, there is an attitude floating around in our society that makes older women feel the need to concentrate on looking classy rather than looking sexy.

Now I'm not saying that anyone over the age of 35 can't wear what they want, really I'm just thinking about my own predicament and assuming it applies to everyone...

I turned 40 yesterday and all of a sudden I have nothing to wear.  Most of my skirts and dresses are too short, my jeans too tight, my jewellery too cheap, my shoes too scruffy.  I need a wardrobe make-over!  Below is a small selection of the looks and items on wardrobe wish list...
